Submit an LSRC nomination

Prepare your own campus nomination, then submit during an authorised window.

How it works

5 simple steps
  1. Check your eligibility

Read the eligibility rules for your study category and confirm your registered campus.

  2. Prepare your evidence

Have your proof of registration and the required supporter document ready as PDFs. Independent nominations require at least 50 eligible student supporters.

  3. Complete your nomination

Open the public nomination form, complete your details using your university-provided @mycput.ac.za email, choose your account password, upload your PDFs and accept the declarations.

  4. Submit before the cutoff

Review the form and enter the email verification code before the closing time. Verification creates your account and submits the LSRC nomination for screening. Existing signed-in drafts still need formal submission.

  5. Track the decision

Follow the status in your portal. Submission is not approval: CEO screening, Registrar vetting and the EC decision come first.

Good to know

No separate registration is needed. Your candidate account and nomination are created after email verification, during an authorised window.

Your next step

Submitted records are locked. Do not wait until the final minute. Candidate lists are public only after authorised publication.
